I need some fresh air! - and award thanks -

It's HOT.

And HUMID.

I'm melting....

Literally....

In Italy is so hot now, that you can't even go out. Well maybe there are some brave people out there, but I have no intentions to be one of them.

In the morning when I wake up I open the windows and...

.... I can't breathe because of all the humidity.

Thanks God someone invented air conditioning.

When I'm in the office or at home I'm safe.

But I feel so exhausted, I just need some fresh air,

I need to go to my mountains where at night you're even cold!

(what a fantastic feeling!!!)

In a couple of weeks we will be there, but we need to finish some works at the new house before.

I don't know if it's the hot, the work at the office, the works at the new home, my baby asking for more and more attentions, but I really need a holiday. I desperately need a holiday!

Also, you don't see me around so often lately, I'm sorry ladies, I ve to apoligize, I'm reallly sorry!

I appreciate every single comment and love when you leave a sign of your passage on my blog! I'm trying to catch up with all of you, but time seems never enough!

Do you remember that last week I won Sharon My French Country Home giveaway?

Here it is!!!!

I received it on Monday!!! When I opened the beautifully wrapped parcel, I soon smelled a marvelous scent of lavender !

Oh I love the fabric!! And the little "parisienne" tag is so sweet!

I've placed the lavender sachet into my wardrobe and I will use the bag and the pochette as the beauty bag for my little Sofia when we are off for the weekend!

This and that!

It's a bit I don't write about my house. Well at the moment we are at the "mortar phase". Next to it we will place the tiles we have orderd last Saturday.

This has been a very short week here in Italy, 'cause June 2nd it was bank holiday. So tomorrow is again Saturday and to me this means: odering the fireplace (yes we have decided it!!) and choosing the bathroom suite!

Today I'm also very happy because on Sunday my cousin Sonia, her husband Andrea and their ever so cute little twins Arianna and Ylenia, will come to meet us!!!! 

Sonia and Andrea are 2 of our best friends and also were my maid of honour and my husband's best man at our wedding! And little Arianna and Ylenia brought our rings during the cerimony!

They live in the mountain (yes, in the town where I was born!) and we haven't seen each other for a couple of months, so I'm thrilled about Sunday!!!

We will prepare a yummy lunch and just have fun all together!

Meanwhile, let's have a look at this house. Isn't it gorgeous??!!

Wow! I was thrilled!!! Nellie has an amazing blog where she posts about her home, her life, her travel (don't miss her New Zealand posts!!!) and fantastic pictures taken by her and her husband!

So now I have to write seven things about myself...

1. I'm black belt of karate. I've been doing karate for 10 years, but I stopped when I discovered I was pregnant. I will start again to go to my dojo in September. Karate means a lot to me, it's not a sport, it's somenthing that makes me feel good. It teached me a lot. Please don't think I'm something like Steven Segal or Jean Claude van Damme, it's not true!!!! I'm not a dangerous weapon, just a normal, sweet girl who can defend herself! ;)

2. I love travel backpacking. I have travelled with my husband in Southern Asia, one of my fave part of the world, backpacking. We have visited China, Vietnam, Thailandia, Laos. I love the sense of freedom of backpacking: no plans, just going where you want to. Travelling is an important part of my life, even if now I'm a little bit quite. I'm waiting that my little Sofia will be older and then I want to teach her to be curious of the world.

3. I was born in a little village in the Alps. Yep! I'm a mountain girl! I love mountains and escape from the city every time I can! I spent all my childhood summers in the mountains and I feel blessed for that!

4. I love old movies. I don't miss Gone with the Wind, all the Sissi's movies and all the Audrey Hepburn's movies when they appear on tv.

5. I've always tought of myself that I was made for work and career. I found these convictions were totally false when I happly discovered I was pregnant. There's no better time for me that the time I spend with my family.

6. I don't cook!  My husband loves to cook and I love to eat what he prepares!

7. I'm mad about cornflakes of every taste and every sort. They are such a comfort food to me! I love to have them at breakfast, in the afternoon and even in the evening after dinner!
