Today is day the appointment with my Books Cafè
and I would like to talk about one of those
so-called best seller books:
Erica Bauermeister "Joy for Beginners"
Oggi c'è l'appuntamento con il Books Cafè
e vorrei parlarvi di uno di quei libri che vengono
definiti best sellers:
Erica Bauermeister "La Casa dei Destini Intrecciati"
I have to be honest, usually I have some prejudices against
the so called best seller books, 'cause it seems to myself that
these 2 words are too much used.
But I loved this book and I want to tell you why.
Devo essere onesta: solitamente ho dei pregiudizi nei
confronti dei cosiddetti best seller, perchè mi sembra che
queste due parole siano troppo usate.
Ma questo libro mi è piaciuto e voglio raccontarvi perchè.
It's the story of 6 women, 6 friends who celebrate with a dinner the victory against cancer of one of them: Kate.
All of them have supported Kate in her struggle and now Kate is about to tell
them that her daughter want her to do the most terrifying thing on heart: a white water rafting trip down the Grand Canyon, a big adventure to celebrate life.
E' la storia di 6 donne, 6 amiche che si riuniscono per una cena per celebrare la
vittoria contro il cancro di una di loro: Kate.
Tutte loro sono state vicine a Kate nella sua lotta ed ora Kate stà per raccontare alle sue amiche che sua figlia la vuole costringere a fare la cosa più terrificante
del mondo: rafting sul Gran Canyon, una'avventura per celebrare la vita.
All her friends think that this is a great idea and force Kate to accept. So Kate agrees, but on one condition: for all of them she will choose a challenge to overcome. What kind of challenges are? They are all closely related to each one of the woman's stories and will bring joy into their lives. Because during all her recovery period, Kate never stopped listen carefully to all her friends and understood what they really needed to find happyness.
Tutte le sue amiche pensano sia una grande idea e insistono affinchè Kate accetti l'invito della figlia. Così Kate acconsente, ma ad una condiziono: per ognuna delle sue amiche sceglierà una sfida da superare. Che tipo di sfide? Bhè sono tutte legate profondamente alla storia di ogni singola donna e porteranno un po' di gioia in ognuna delle loro vite. Perchè Kate, durante il periodo della malattia, non ha mai smesso di ascoltare attentamente tutte le sue amiche ed ha capito di cosa hanno bisogno per trovare la felicità.

and produced by Tolix from the Fifties.
