Il mio piccolo orto è in piena produzione!
Mi considero fortunata, dato che l'orto
l'ho sempre avuto, tanto da considerarlo una
cosa normalissima, quotidiana.
Anzi, quando ero adolescente,
mi infastidiva non poco dover scendere
a raccogliere qualche foglia di salvia/basilico/etc.
oppure un cespo di insalata.
Mi infastidivano le zanzare, mi infastidiva dovermi
sporcare le mani.
Per non parlare del caldo infernale che
si scatenava in cucina in pieno agosto
quando si preparava la conserva di pomodoro!
Quanto lo odiavo!
My little kitchen garden is in high production!
I feel lucky, because I've always had a kitchen garden and
always considered it as a common thing.
Well, when I was a teen ager actually I hated it!
I hated to go and pick up vegetables because
of the mosquitos and the dirt.
And I also hated the hot caused in
the kitchen in August by the making of the
tomato sauce!
Però ora mi rendo veramente conto
che avere un orto e mangiare verdura fresca,
non è poi scontato.
E' una grande fortuna,
e una grande soddisfazione.
Perciò ora non mi lamento più se mi pungono
le zanzare o se mi sporco le mani:
raccolgo verdura fresca
e, diciamolo, vista anche la crisi,
mi ritengo fotunata.
PS: le uova non crescono nel mio orto,
me le porta mio cognato fresche fresche dal pollaio
ogni settimana! ;)
But now I've realised how
lucky I've always been, and that
having a kitchen garden is not so
common.
It's a great thing and a big
satisfaction.
So now I don't complain anymore for some
mosquitos bites or to get my hands dirty:
I pick up fresh vegetables and, say it aloud,
also because of this crisis, I feel I'm lucky.
PS: the eggs don't grow in my kitchen garden,
my brother in law sends me some fresh ones every week! ;)
